X box 3D Gaming

X Box 3D Gaming

Xbox/Microsoft have stunned the emerging 3D Gaming industry by forming a partnership with Korean electrical manufacturing giant LG. The main reason for this alliance is the rise of Passive 3D technology. LG are the first manufacturer to embrace the Passive 3D format incorporating it in their latest HD 3D Passive TV, which is the worlds first. Now the stakes have been raised much higher with the news that LG have launched a range of Laptop computers with a Passive 3D screen. This is big news for gamers as the full force of Microsoft 3D Gaming development will be in the Passive format. Not only is this great for 3D Gaming but the Passive 3D format means that gamers will only need Passive 3D Glasses to experience 3D Gaming. This will be a massive challenge for Sony who have opted for the Active format. The Active 3D Glasses are expensive ( over £100 per pair ) , require batteries and have unresolved health issues due to the high speed flickering of images on the eye used to create the 3D effect.
